"Back in April 2009, you helped me clean out my closet, organize the remaining clothes, explained the basics of good fashion, and went shopping with me. I have been meaning to report back to tell you how much your excellent advice, good taste, and gentle manner has helped me.
I feel that I am much more competent at putting together an outfit, and shopping for new clothing pieces that fit well, are flattering, and coordinate with my existing items. I now know how to wear a variety of colors (not just purple and pink) and love having a base of neutrals to work with. I feel confident buying pants in the right lengths and wearing the correct shoe heel height, a subject I was unsure about. I also know what types of tops, dresses, and jackets to look for, which makes sifting through a sea of clothes much easier.
Additionally, I have also enjoyed selecting shoes, handbags, and accessories that will pull an outfit together. I rarely wear black shoes and was able to incorporate the metallics (pewter, bronze) that you showed me. They look great and are far more interesting than black or brown shoes. I love nice handbags and finding just the right piece of jewelry or scarf to complete an outfit.
I have fewer clothes, but am able to make more outfits that are flattering and stylish. I have enjoyed your newsletter and check out twitter too.
