Dress Your Body Type : Pear
The pear is the most common body type. Tricia is a pear. Her shoulders, and the width of her torso, in general, are narrower than the width of her hips, which creates a pear shape.
Pears do have a naturally defined waist and are usually long-waisted. This means they have a long torso and shorter legs. Pears are known to have a larger derrière. Lastly, pears are the ones who when they finally get pants to fit them in through the hip and thigh, they are then too big in the waist.
Tricia has 4 children. She is still a pear. Her shoulders are still narrower than her hips. Having children will not change your body type.
Pear Capsule
Pears want to focus on balancing out their hips by adding volume to the top and de-emphasizing the bottom. A-line skirts and dresses, straight and full leg pants, darker colors on the bottom, tops with a pattern or detailed sleeve, square necklines and layering all work well. Pears should avoid pockets or jackets that hit directly at the hip.
