- I shall not buy something without trying it on first.
- I shall know what is in my closet and what I need.
- I shall not buy something without having at least two items to wear with it.
- I shall not buy pleather. Boots, coats, shoes need to be leather – pleather never turns out well.
- I shall not buy an item thinking that I will fit into it. Buy for the size I am now.
- I shall not buy something unless I love it. Kind of liking it is not good enough – life is too short to fill my closet with crap!
- I shall have shoes to wear with each outfit or item, and no, black shoes do not go with everything. When in doubt, choose metallic.
- I shall not be persuaded by a sale. Sales are great, but fit should always triumph over price.
- I shall not buy a pair of pants that I plan to wear with heels and flats – it don’t work that way. One or the other, please.
- I shall not buy light-colored jeans, capris, clogs, chunky shoes, long skirts or ribbed turtlenecks.
